Following a long development and implementation process, it was highly satisfying for myself and all those involved, to receive public gratification for all the work performed on the Togatus Relaunch project. This project centred around the University of Tasmania student publication, Togatus, and comprised of both print and online mediums. eCanvas was contracted in mid 2008 to lead the design and development of the online element of this project, in partnership with the Tasmanian University Union and the School of Journalism. This project culminated in the public launch on the 11th of March, 2009. In attendance was the Honourable David Bartlett (Premier of Tasmania), Daryl Le Grew (Vice Chancellor of UTAS), Robert Meredith (President of the TUU) and the Togatus editor in chief (Damian McIver). We at eCanvas are very proud of this site. It employs cutting edge AJAX (javascript) client side technologies to parse and save information submitted by contributors to the site and to manage all session and reader profile information. The fully customised content management system, allows the editor in chief and all sub editors, huge control over content and media. On behalf of eCanvas and all involved, we invite you to visit the site at www.togatus.com.au, browse the fabulous content, and even possibly contribute you own opinion articles to the site! Regards, Jacob Field - eCanvas Principal |

The ongoing professional relationship between the Tasmanian Men's Health and Wellbeing Association (TASMEN) and eCanvas culminated recently in the launch of the tasmen.org.au website. This site (the first round launch) features event management and ecommerce facilities. Payment processing is provided by the eCanvas payment module, where money received through credit card transactions is remitted to the client within 48 hours of receipt of payment.

The second round development of this site, to be rolled out in approximately three to four weeks, provides further functionality based around men's group management (and associated events), advocacy and support, and private/public chat and forum areas. This project has been a thoroughly enjoyable process for eCanvas (particularly myself). Part of this enjoyment is linked to my recent attendance of a men's retreat weekend facilitated by TASMEN. Although with some official duties, the weekend was thoroughly enjoyable, motivating and inspirational. A full event summary will soon be posted to the TASMEN website, so be sure to take a peek in the days to come! Regards, Jacob Field |
